Welcome to Eat Sleep Cube Repeat 2014

Welcome to the "Eat Sleep Cube Repeat 2014" website. ESCR14 is a speedcubing competition to be held on 21 - 23 November 2014 in Veldhoven, The Netherlands. The competition is an official competition, recognised by the WCA and will follow the most recent version of the WCA Regulations. The results of the competition will be posted on the WCA website. ESCR14 is a residential competition and competitors are invited and encouraged to stay at the venue for the duration of the competition.

Venue:
De Buitenjan is a residential centre in Veldhoven, near Eindhoven. It is easily accessible from the main roads and has excellent public transport links with Eindhoven railway station.

Programme:
The main part of the programme consists of the official WCA competition. In addition, there is an evening programme on Saturday with unofficial events, like 3x3 head-to-head and team-BLD. If there are enough people registering for it, there will also be a talent night.

Registration and costs
You can register for this competition on the WCA page.
The registration fee is dependent on which option you choose. The following options are available.

Full weekend residential:
Registration and payment before 1 October: 50 euros. This is the recommended option.  The price covers overnight accommodation for 2 nights and all meals from breakfast on Saturday to lunch on Sunday. Choose this option if you don't want to miss out on any of the fun!

Registration and payment from 1 October onwards: 55 euros.

Registration and payment onsite: 60 euros (if available)

Full weekend non-residential
Registration and payment before 1 October: 25 euros. The price covers all meals as in the residential option.

Registration and payment from 1 October onwards: 27.50 euros.

Registration and payment onsite: 30 euros 

Day competitors Saturday with evening meal:
Saturday: 15 euros

Day competitors without evening meal (but with breakfast and lunch): 10 euros per day, Friday free.

Your registration will only be considered complete after full payment of the competition fee. After registration, you will receive an e-mail with information on how to pay. Payment of the registration fee indicates a commitment to attend the competition.

Competitor limit

There is place for 50 full residential competitors. The total competitor limit is 60.

  1. But what if i am slower than 3 minutes on the 5x5 on satherday?

    1. If you don't get under 3 minutes in one of your first two attempts, you can not complete an average of 5. Instead, your best solve of those 2 will determine your ranking.
